Everything underneath this section is quite GENERATIVE/DIGITAL ART, what I haven't had time to experiment with this week for this page is paper / paint / collage textures.
Maybe you'd suit an analogue style with 'real' footage included
Utilising your existing material (even ask the director if there is more car footage)
We could play on the FM RADIO /hip hop car / in the interlude glitches.
We create a theme by returning to the same imagery every time we hear the radio tuning.
*Keep it hip hop, not 1950's though
You mentioned block colours to illuminate you, but what if they had a bit of flow to them? (it could be more subtle than this?)

Depending on what your LD thinks - if this is too distracting then the dark background could be changed so its more monotone ↑
I did really love Tim's circles at HEAVEN - who doesn't love circles!
They also really help to convey night and day
Perhaps they could be made to move a bit more though?
(Not 100% on these colour combos, but the shapes/movement itself)
(Or the colours could be made.. I don't know green? then the LD can change to whatever they like)

Definitely need to develop this further -
- Create more assets that feature a car radio for that intro
- I feel MATTER OF TIME is just so epic and awakening, it needs to be bright / almost spring like/ explosive (see below)
- Begin the journey - would you want anything looking realistic? Almost out of a window? (see below)
- pop up to the clouds??
- Then we are in outer space, a sort of outer space ride through the clouds, stopping off at different planets, which are filled with the different patterns?

Literally just threw some old work on top of some clouds, but again MATTER OF TIME feels like it deserves some explosions of colour?
Create the story through the colour palette - like you said, you wanted perhaps day to night, so we could do that through the colours.
(ALTHOUGH some songs are way more BRIGHT than others so if you change the order around that might affect it?)

Sorry I feel like there is a lot going on here, please shout if its not streamlined enough. I can simplify! - OR I can also just re-make you some circles that have a tiny bit more movement and variation than Tim's and keep it real simple.
In any case, I've had a great time listening on repeaaaattt to the music, which I hadn't done enough before and I'm well and truly a fully fledged fan & admirer of the aesthetic too.
